CoMotion is the annual motion media conference organized by students at Savannah College of Art and Design, bringing together industry professionals and emerging designers through talks, panels, and portfolio reviews.
PRE-PRODUCTION
This title sequence reflects the idea that spontaneous encounters shape our creative paths. It sees “meet by chance” moments as catalysts for design, positioning us as protagonists of our own journeys while contributing to a growing network of future creative voices.
As part of the branding team for the title sequence, I made an early visual exploration of the main character, the Moth. I was also responsible for designing at least six shots featured in the final animation, along with developing initial color and style explorations that helped define the overall look of the sequence.

EARLY EXPLORATIONS
My early explorations focused on building complex compositions where light, reflections, and refractions were the main visual drivers. I began in black and white to ensure the values and overall composition were strong and clearly communicated the concept. From there, I experimented with different approaches to glass morphism and light distortion to achieve the cinematic, reflective look defined by the creative direction.
